The most significant advantages of being a Pro SEMrush user are as follows: First of all, a Pro account gives one access to an incredible amount of data with 3,000 queries a day and 10,000 results per query (whereas a free user has a limit of only 10 queries/day and 10 results per). Pro users also have access to our API, as well as the ability to export results into Excel or CSV files. Quite simply, a free SEMrush account only scratches the surface of all that a paid SEMrush account can do for you. Here you may find the details related to the various levels of SEMrush service available: http://www.semrush.com/prices.html
You may export the results in csv or excel formats.
In order to sort the data, simply click on the names of the columns in specific reports (you may sort by Traffic, Cost, Position).
Because SEMrush returns data relative to the most popular, most profitable keywords, a site will only appear in our database if it ranks in the Google Top20 for at least one of 95+ million keywords SEMrush analyzes.
Currently SEMrush provides data only for root level domains.
Please check to see if it was sent to your spam folder. If not, please contact our customer support: firstname.lastname@example.org
SEMrush currently returns data from 10 different regional Google databases, as well as the database for US Bing.
SEMrush currently returns data relative to 95+ million of the most popular and most profitable keywords. If the keyword you are querying is not in our database, then it isn't included in the top 95+ million keywords (based on the US version of Google.com).
SEMrush currently provides data for 10 regional Google databases, including: US (Google.com), UK (Google.co.uk), Russia (Google.ru), Germany (Google.de), France (Google.fr), Spain (Google.es), Italy (Google.it), Brazil (Google.com.br), Australia (Google.com.au), and Canada (Google.ca). We also return data from the US Bing database. Of course, we intend to continue to expand our reach and add new regional databases to our service. If there is a particular local version you'd like us to consider, please let us know. email@example.com
Unlike other sites, SEMrush does not generate random keywords, or related keywords. All of the data we return is based on highly accurate statistical analysis and the actual incidence of keyword use.
The keywords returned in these reports are different. Often, they may appear to be quite similar, but the difference stems from how the "Potential ad/traffic buyers" report (Organic to AdWords competition) reveals sites that run AdWords campaigns using the same keywords that the site being queried ranks for organically; whereas, the "Potential ad/traffic sellers" report (AdWords to Organic competition) reveals sites that rank organically for the same keywords used in an AdWords campaign.
This may be due to the fact that SEMrush databases are updated monthly. The most popular keywords are updated more frequently, but SERP positions can fluctuate frequently. Generally though, the positions shown are quite accurate.
SEMrush may be used on any computer, as all features of your login are available wherever you are using it. We do not have any limits or checkups.

Traffic stats are derived from Google.com data and are only based on Google SE traffic.
"Potential ad/traffic buyers" and "Potential ad/traffic sellers" are reports that reveal which sites buy AdWords for the same keywords that the domain under analysis ranks for in the TOP20 Organic search and vice versa. This information can help determine whether or not it may be profitable to place your ads on sites from one list and/or to solicit ads for your site from the other list.
Yes, SEMrush registration is Free
. As a free registered SEMrush user, you will be able to make 10 queries a day and get 10 results per query. Of course, if these limits don't meet your needs, we offer various paid accounts, all of which can give you access to substantial amounts of data. Check out the packages we offer: http://www.semrush.com/prices.html
SEMrush enables one to easily access multiple facets of keyword data – stats relative to both organic and paid traffic, CPC values, domain rankings, competitor usage and budgets, and even potential traffic buyers and sellers. Thus, unlike Google, SEMrush is a one-stop resource for the competitive intelligence one needs to improve site optimization, make AdWords campaigns more effective, collect long-tail keywords, and, ultimately, increase site traffic.
If you are only able to see 10 results for a query, you are probably utilizing the free access to the service. If 10 results is not enough to serve your needs, please check out our Pro level of access, which will get you 3,000 queries a day with 10,000 results per query.
The differences may be due to how your queries are typed into the search bar. For example, a query made using "http" will return the URL report, which is less detailed. The same query made without "http" will bring up a report on a domain, which contains more information.
Here's how to investigate long-tail keywords for any domain: first perform a SEMrush search of the domain, then access the Organic Keywords report (e.g. http://www.semrush.com/info/bestbuy.com+(by+organic)
), and then export it into Excel and sort by position. Positions 10 through 20 will reveal the long-tail keywords that may be of interest.
Hidden related (and low-cost) keywords are easy to find: Go to the Related Keywords report and access the "full report. Then, sort the results by CPC. Those keywords with the lowest CPC are the ones you may be interested in.
CPC is the average price of a click for the AdWords ad shown for a search query, in U.S. dollars.
All searches made by our users are private.
The related keyword tool returns related keywords that are long-tail, as well as those that are not. Not all long-tail keywords may be included on the list for several reasons.
You can gain access to all of the AdWords keywords your competitors use via SEMrush. Just query your competitor's domain and check out the AdWords Keywords report. Please note: SEMrush data is updated monthly, so some terms may not be included in the results because of their status at the moment of the last database update based on Geo, Time targeting or low CTR.
There is no way to hide keywords from SEMrush or remove your domain from the database.
The numbers in the "Competition" column represent the percentage of competitors actively advertising in AdWords for a specific term: the higher the number = the greater the competition = the more expensive the term.
SEMrush data is updated monthly, with only the most common keywords being updated more frequently. If data on a keyword you've purchased through AdWords isn't returned through SEMrush, chances are that either its CTR is currently too low to be included in our database or there was some issue with its Geo or Time targeting at the time of data collection.
SEMrush doesn't reveal the Time or Geo targeting a competitor uses in advertising campaigns.
The Cost % column shows the approximate cost/value of the traffic a specific keyword brings to the site. It is determined by tallying the cost of all the traffic generated by keywords for a domain, and then carefully calculating the percentage and cost for that exact keyword. If a site is not running an AdWords campaign, then the Cost % is calculated based on the value of a keyword as established by AdWords.
The Traffic % column shows the percentage of traffic the site under analysis receives for a specific keyword relative to the total amount of traffic it gets for common keywords.
SEMrush reveals the percentage of traffic a site receives for a particular keyword relative to all the traffic it gets from all keywords. For example, if you see 10.8% next to the keyword "tree" that indicates that 10.8% of all the traffic that site receives from Google US (for all of its keywords) is from the keyword "tree".
SEMrush can provide you with the competitive intelligence you need to improve your rankings, as well as the effectiveness of your AdWords campaigns, but it is up to you to strategically apply the data to your optimization and campaign efforts.
Yes. The Average Volume column stats are similar to those found with Google Keywords Tool and represent the exact search indexes.
Some keywords come up several times because they were found within the Google US TOP20 under different URLs attributed to the sites under analysis.
