As promised, we've rolled out a few really handy features this week as well as one new addition to the SEMrush Projects tool suite called "SEO Ideas." Unfortunately, I can't and don't necessarily want to dive too deep into this new tool because it's still very much in beta and the real goal is to collect feedback and further the develop the tool before we officially launch it. - New Indicators and Notices for First-Crawl Errors [Site Audit]: Upon enabling a new Site Audit crawl in your Projects, SEMrush will now better inform you of how and why we're unable to crawl a site. Specifically in regards to redirects and DNS resolution errors. These new splash screens even provide quick ways to download the error log so that you can send it to your webmaster without contacting our support team.
- New Checks For Markups [Site Audit]: The Pages Report within Site Audit now carries a column titled "Markups." You'll notice a drop-down menu in each cell that shows you which markups we've found on a particular page. Currently, we check for four markups including Schema, Microformats, Twitter Cards and Open Graph. It comes particularly in handy when crawling your competitors site.
- Our Newest Tool – SEO Ideas [Projects]: In addition to Site Audit, Position Tracking and our Social Media Tool, you now have the ability to collect SEO Ideas. These ideas will help you improve your on/off-site optimization for single (or a group of) keywords. It ties in data sourced from your Position Tracking and Site Audit campaigns as well as our ever-growing database of backlinks to compare the health of your optimization strategies to that of your competitors in hopes that implementing these proposed ideas would result in higher organic visibility!
- Position Tracking maintenance has, once again, gone well this week. As expected, about 13% of campaigns may have incurred some delay in data collection and it seems we're still experiencing some issues with PDF reports generated from the Position Tracking overview report. But, other than that, there's nothing really affecting our users this week!
