SEMrush is Industry First: Facebook PPC Advertising Data
Over the course of the past few days, you may have seen previews in the news, such as this article in Forbes. As of today, September 5th, 2012, we have publicly launched our new Facebook PPC reporting tool. There are a number of important and useful features that it contains, all of which will benefit any potential or existing Facebook advertiser, and they are outlined in more detail below:
Using the Ads by Domain feature, users can observe and analyze what a specific domain is doing with their Facebook ads. All you need to do is type a domain into the search bar, click search, and then click the Ads by Domain link under Facebook. You will then be presented with a graph that displays overall impressions and unique impressions, a pie chart breakdown of Geo targeting, and statistics that include information such as the number of ads, days that the ads were seen, and average impressions over 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months. Users are also able to view a list of all ads that are running, including ad text and images with an impression percentage as well as the landing pages for the ads. If you want to view the specific details of an ad, all you have to is click on the ad title.
Next, you can also check Facebook ads by keyword by entering a keyword into the SEMrush search bar, clicking search, and clicking Ads by Keyword under Facebook. You will now have a sortable list of Facebook ads that match the keyword indicated. If you want to obtain more details regarding the ad, once again all you need to do is click the ad title.
As described above, merely clicking on the title of an ad in one of our Facebook reports will open up a huge wealth of information, all of which you simply cannot find outside of SEMrush. You will be able to view the date when the ad was first seen, the date it has been seen most recently, and the total number of days viewed. Additionally, you can also view a chart that shows impressions and unique impressions that are graphed over a specific timeframe. There is also a graph that displays the precise geo-targeting of the ad.
Lastly, have you ever been curious about what the top ads are on Facebook? Using this feature allows you to view the top advertisers on Facebook, see what the top ads are, as well as the number of impressions that they produce. To the left of this report is the top advertiser domains, and this displays a sortable list of top advertising domains by country. All you need to do is select a country from the drop-down box and you will be presented with the top advertisers for that particular country.
