SEMrush Diaries: SMX Paris


SMX conferences are some of the most authoritative and informative marketing events today. So of course, we can’t miss them! On June 8-9, SEMrush team members attended SMX Paris.

We wanted to share with you our impressions, links to the most informative presentations and some awesome pictures!

SMX conferences and SEMrush have a lot in common — SMX, like SEMrush, is global and multilingual. Both share a passion for fresh data and both love sharing itwith others.

SMX Paris was simply great! We found great speakers, great topics and great sessions. We at SEMrush are exceptionally satisfied with our experience at this conference. One thing that continued to amaze us is the level of networking that took place. Everyone was friendly, open to sharing and more than willing to stay in touch.

The most impressive presentation we saw was delivered by Google, who showed us how its "Ultimate Assistant" will help us on-the-go by using a very accurate voice recognition system, followed by Bing, who gave us great merchant surprises.

At our speaking session, we discussed the latest strategies for improving advertising performance. Advertising can either be a powerful weapon or an endless headache, depending on how much knowledge and experience you have. We decided to enclose some secrets on three different categories of advertising:

  1. Display Network - using some great tools like What Runs Where, Mixrank and SEMrush.
  2. Google Shopping - using the unique solutions from the SEMrush PLA Intelligence report.
  3. Classic AdWords campaigns - using some great tools like WordStream, Spyfu, Searchmetrics, Moz and SEMrush (of course!).
