Trends data provider SEMrush has revealed top Global, US and UK consumer searches in the run up to Black Friday as well as:

  • Dynamics for Black Friday searches over the last 4 years
  • Top questions about Black Friday
  • Most searched brands/сompanies for Black Friday shopping globally, in the US and the UK 
  • Interest in Black Friday by countries

Key takeaways:

  • SEMrush predicts that interest in Black Friday 2018 will be higher than in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

  • People globally and in the US are more interested in Walmart Black Friday deals, while UK citizens are searching more for Argos sales.

  • People from Finland, Sweden and Denmark were searching for “Black Friday” in 2018 the most.

Dynamics of Black Friday Searches

We looked at the search volume for “Black Friday” over the last 4 years. Surprisingly (or not), the study showed that people start searching for Black Friday in October, but the highest interest comes in November.
SEMrush also predicts that Black Friday 2018 will have the highest interest ever.
