October 19, 2019
Any website can make you a profit if you know how to monetize it. Whether you’re a blog owner wishing to turn your hobby into an income-generating asset or a publisher who has already got enough traffic but would like to get more outcome from it, it’s worth the effort.
Still have doubts? We hope our new feature dispels them completely. With the new AdSense Benchmark Tool, you can now estimate the monetization potential of any website.
Who and what is it for?
This new feature is an excellent solution for bloggers, affiliate managers, and anyone who is looking for ways to discover the monetization potential of their websites. You can use it for:
AdSense benchmarking: comparing your website earning potential to your competitors’
Competitive research
Finding out the right monetization model for an existing website or blog
How to use the tool
Find the AdSense Benchmark Tool in the Overview report of Display Advertising. Then just type in a domain you’re interested in, and hit the Try it out button to see estimated ad revenue and monetization potential – it’s as simple as that.
How does it work?
Any website monetization potential is usually built upon three components: CPC, CTR, and traffic. CPC and CTR may vary depending on a niche: two websites with the same traffic volume can have very different earnings.
Our tool takes each aspect into account. By combining SEMrush’s estimated CPC, CTR and traffic volume data, we show how much a website could have potentially earned if the owner was to get AdSense banners integrated.
