Locate Your Ads on the SERP!
April 30, 2014
When you’re advertising your services or products with AdWords the location of the ad matters.
The SEMrush Positions Report in Advertising Research has a new column: Block (1). Now you can see where exactly on the SERP your ads appeared.
The graphics within the column will show you whether your AdWords appeared at the top, on the side, or on the bottom of the search engine results page. Click the image in the Block column to see the snapshots of the SERP. It is also available through the SERP source column (2), as it was before.
So now, if you’re aiming to get your ads above Google search results, you know where to start. See what ads appear at the side or at the bottom of the page.
Optimize your ad copies by using the right keywords, by pointing them to the relevant landing pages, adding extensions to trigger the user to click, and test!
Check the SEMrush Report regularly! If your ad has climbed to the top of a search results page, you’re on the right track!
With SEMrush, you can get your ads eligible for a top spot!
