Nofollow, frame, or form? Check the type of your backlinks with SEMrush!
June 18, 2014
The SEMrush Backlinks Reports have already helped you to determine whether hyperlinks pointing to your website are follow or nofollow. Knowing that a particular backlink has a nofollow attribute tells you something very important about its value—that it might not pass any link juice to your website.
Now you know more about the different types of backlinks! The frame type indicates that your webpage was inserted into another with the help of a <iframe> or <frame> tag.
The form type shows that a referring webpage is sending data to your website via the search bar or another element that users can modify by entering some text.
You will find the new pie chart that provides backlinks distributions listed by type in the Domain Overview and Backlinks Reports. Moreover, you can filter backlinks by type and TLD in the Backlinks and Referring Domains Reports.
All data are also available via API.
