To navigate SEMrush, use the search bar at the top to enter domain names and keywords. Use the navigation menu to the left of the screen to move between reports.
You’ll notice the navigation menu offers 4 main sections of research reports and tools.
1. Domain Analytics - This section of reports analyzes traffic and keyword statistics of domains and URLs. Enter a domain name in the search bar and you’ll automatically be navigating in our Domain Analytics section. Here you can identify your top competitors, see what keywords are driving traffic to other websites and pinpoint the keywords where a domain has moved up or down in the search results.
2. Keyword Analytics - Enter a word or phrase in the search bar and you’ll automatically be redirected to our Keyword Analytics section. This section provides insightful keyword research to build a master target list. The reports analyze competitive metrics of popular search phrases so you can find profitable and low-competition keywords for a SEO or SEM campaign.
3. Projects - These tools allow you to audit a website, audit backlinks, track keyword rankings, follow social media competitors, monitor brand mentions and more for any domain. Setting up a project will allow you to monitor the full picture of a domain’s online visibility. For freelancers or agencies that work with clients, SEMrush projects can keep you updated on every facet of a client domain.
4. My Reports - This custom PDF builder lets you create reports combining research from multiple SEMrush tools into a single deliverable document. You can add your own images and even information from a Google Analytics account to the PDF. With White-Label reports, you can also add your company logo to the header. For anyone that reports progress to a client, this feature is a must.
