SEO Dashboard is a small-scale analytics report that provides quick insights into what’s currently going on with your or your competitor’s website. The dashboard comprises a set of widgets that display report excerpts from the most valuable and widely used SEMrush SEO tools, including:

How Does it Work?

Monitoring your website on an ongoing basis is grunt work. Using the SEO Dashboard is an easy way to break the routine.

An SEO Dashboard can be generated in a matter of seconds - all you need to do is create a Project. You can find SEO Dashboard on the top of the left-hand navigation menu. Choose one of your ongoing projects from the list or set up a new one.

Please note that using SEO Dashboard requires having at least one project on your list. You can switch between projects using the drop-down list on the top of the page.

As you are directed to the dashboard you’ll see all available data for the selected project, from basic metrics like Bounce Rate and Backlinks to On Page SEO Recommendations. All the website’s key metrics and tendencies on one page and at hand at any moment.

The data you see in each widget originates from a tool or report in the SEMrush SEO toolkit. If you want to get more detail, press the ‘View Full Report’ button at the bottom of a tab and you’ll be redirected to the corresponding tool or report (Organic Research, Position Tracking, Traffic Analytics, Site Audit, Backlink Analytics, Backlink Audit, or On Page SEO Checker).

You can even customize the layout of your dashboard by moving around the individual widgets. Simply hover over the top of the widget you want to move.

Please note that the data in each tab of the SEO Dashboard is refreshed with a different frequency depending on how often the data is refreshed in the original tool.

Seeing an empty widget indicates that one of the SEMrush tools hasn’t been set up for the given project. To solve this issue you can set up the needed tool right from the dashboard. The image below shows how you can start a Position Tracking campaign directly from the dashboard.

Traffic Analytics and Google Analytics

By default, the traffic data in the first (visits, unique visits, etc.) and the fourth (geo-distribution and visits sources) tabs is taken from SEMrush Traffic Analytics Tool.

Traffic Analytics gives you estimations of your rivals’ domains’ traffic and visitor behavior. These are essential for benchmarking, identifying your competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, and refining your own marketing strategies. Traffic Analytics gathers information about tens of millions of visits per day, but it still can’t embrace the whole Web. If your site is small there’s a chance that the accumulated data won’t be enough to display precise statistics for it.

For your convenience, we’ve added a possibility to switch between Traffic Analytics and Google Analytics reports. If you are interested in collecting the most recent and precise data for your own website, and you have Google Analytics set up for it, you can connect Google Analytics to the SEO Dashboard, choose the ‘Show GA Stats’ option in the settings and the metrics in the dashboard will re-populate based on your website’s real numbers from Google Analytics.

Google Search Console

SEO Dashboard has the ability to integrate with your Google Search Console account. This will give you even more data regarding a search query, this includes total clicks, total impressions, average CTR and average position.

Once connected with GSC, SEO dashboard will produce an interactive graph that allows you to view any of the aforementioned data sets.
